Alzheimer’S Can’T Destination Naomi Kliman’S Beautiful Music

There was a beautiful story inwards the Boston Globe close Naomi Kliman. Naomi was a music instructor who taught pianoforte for almost 65 years. During her career, she taught over 1,000 students.

Today, at 82, Naomi lives inwards an assisted living facility. She has Alzheimer’s disease. Naomi, in addition to her piano, moved into the assisted living facility when she was 80.


According to John Ziesel, cofounder of ARTZ (Artists for Alzheimer’s),

“It’s non odd for people amongst the illness to plough to activities that used to plough over them pleasance . . . It reminds them of who they are.”

About Kliman, John Ziesel says,

“At a deep level, [Kliman] knows that when she plays she is seen equally a pianist in addition to if she stops playing she’ll hold upwardly seen equally a ill person.”
